More Plein Air Painting

February brought another warm spell to Colorado and another session of plein air painting. Read all about it in my journal.

New Face on Facebook

I recently started a page on Facebook. It’s great fun keeping up with what friends are up to and chatting. I’ve been posting new paintings as they are created and even while they are being created. It’s the first place you can see new work and even some things you won’t see anywhere else. So, be a friend, and visit my page at Facebook.

I’ve been working on “San Rafael” for a long time and finally got it done. Here are a few progress snapshots:

I also did a few more mini-paintings. They are a great break from the extended concentration needed to make a larger painting. And sometimes they make very sweet little paintings like this one:

Hovenweep Canyon” oil, 6” x 8”

$275, framed (Available)

I’ve just started a new, large painting (48” x 36”). It’s coming along nicely. I hope to feature it here next month. You can see progress paintings on my Facebook page.

Journal

Read the adventures (and non-adventures) of an artist. What’s the story behind the paintings? Every event is shockingly true. Read the Journal if you dare. New entry: “And the Wind Cries !!!!!”
