Foreword
I live to get out on the road, explore, get clobbered by the landscape, get hollowed out by the human experience, take all the photos I can, consume great food and drink along the way, then get back in the studio and paint the whole thing. It's a great life.

Year's ago, I started journaling on road trips, recording the day's events, describing what I saw, and sometimes commenting. A couple of years ago, I started a daily journal on my computer, recording day-to-day living. Most of it is pretty plain stuff—"went to the grocery, worked in the studio, did the laundry"—without much commentary on how I felt about what I was doing. The real life of an artist.

Now, at the prompting of my wife Patrice, I'm putting some of it on the internet. Not everything. That would be mind-numbingly boring to read, although living it wasn't too bad. I'll put some samples of  "a day in the life" and "week in the life" in  here eventually just to give you the idea. Mostly, this is a journal of road trips, image gathering, hiking, and highlights.

I'm not making any rules about what goes in here. And what doesn't. Everything is shockingly true.
