Thank You!

A big thank you to everyone who visited my Virtual Summer Studio Sale, especially all of you who took home paintings. You made it a great success in an uncertain time.

Print Sale

Speaking of uncertain times, the gallery that carries my giclee prints has temporarily sent home all work by its consignment artists, including mine. Consequently, I have a stack of prints just waiting for someplace to go. Many of them are framed and ready to hang.

I know, let's have a sale! I will be putting together a special sale of prints in the coming weeks. I'll let you know what I come up with.

In the Studio

This past month, I have been working on larger paintings for my November show at Manitou Galleries. November seems like a long way off, but painting takes time, and I'm already feeling the deadline creeping up. I'm happy with the work so far. It's going to be a great show.

Watching the Weather, in progress.jpg

This painting is "Watching the Weather." I'm painting it from the small study on the right. As you can see, I changed the thunderhead quite a bit. It's not unusual for me to make substantial changes when working from a study.

The sky portion of the painting is just about finished. The cliffs and foreground with the horses are blocked in, awaiting the finishing touches that will bring the painting to life. You will see the finished painting in next month's newsletter.

(The study will be available for sale when the large painting is finished.)
