Another Look Back
"Bennet Avenue Liar's Club" 1986,19.5" x 29" watercolor painting
Back in the last century, I was doing large watercolors like this one.
This is Bennet Avenue in Cripple Creek, Colorado, before gambling and pit mines came to town. It was July 4th weekend in1986, and a lot of folks were in town, celebrating.
The two guys on the left look to be local citizens having a conversation about who knows what. The portly man on the left appears to be leaning against the edge of the frame, tilting the whole image down.
I thought it would be fun to present old work from various phases of art I pursued over the years. This is the second in the series.
